Privacy Policy
WC Matches is built to collect as little personal data as possible. There are no user accounts, no cookies, and analytics are cookieless. The main personal data we process is whatever you choose to send us through the contact page. This policy explains what we process, why, the legal basis for it, and the rights you have under data protection law.
Data controller
DSMG AS is the data controller responsible for the personal data processed through this site. You can reach us via the contact page.
What data we process
- Usage statistics: aggregate, anonymous figures collected through a cookieless analytics tool. This contains no personal data and stores no IP address.
- Contact messages: the contents of any message you send through the contact form — for example your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write.
- Server logs: standard logs kept by our host, including your IP address briefly, for security and operation.
Purposes and legal basis
- Analytics: understanding aggregate use of the site — legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- Contact messages: replying to you and handling corrections or enquiries — legitimate interest, or consent/contract where relevant.
- Server logs: keeping the site secure and operational — legitimate interest.
Cookies and analytics
We set no cookies. Our analytics tool is cookieless and stores no personal data, so no consent banner is required. Full detail is on the Cookie Policy.
Recipients and data processors
We do not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes. The categories of processors that act on our behalf are a cookieless analytics provider (hosted in the EU/Germany) and a cloud hosting provider (US). Both operate under data-processing agreements.
Transfers outside the EEA
Our analytics provider is EU-hosted, so analytics involves no transfer outside the EEA. Our hosting provider (US) may process server-log data outside the EEA. Where this happens, it is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
Analytics data is aggregate and contains no personal data, so there is nothing personal to retain. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. Server logs are short-lived.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection — and, where processing is based on consent, the right to withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page.
Automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Complaint to Datatilsynet
If you believe we have handled your personal data incorrectly, you may lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). Depending on where you live, you may also be entitled to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your own country or region. You are welcome to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. The site is static, served over HTTPS, and holds minimal data by design.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes are reflected by the “last updated” date shown on this page.
