Cookie Policy
WC Matches uses no cookies. We set neither first-party nor third-party cookies, and our analytics are cookieless. The site stores nothing else in your browser either. This page explains what that means and why the site shows no cookie consent banner.
What are cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device, so it can recognise certain settings on a later visit. The same idea applies to similar storage technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and device identifiers — that read from or write to your device. Where this policy refers to “cookies”, it covers those equivalent technologies too.
Does WC Matches use cookies?
No. The site sets no cookies — none functional, first-party, or third-party. We also use no other browser storage, such as local storage or session storage. Your language is determined solely by the URL you are on (/no/ or /en/), not by a cookie, so there is nothing to remember between visits.
Cookieless analytics
We measure traffic with a privacy-focused analytics service. It is cookieless and hosted in the EU (Germany). It collects no personal data, does not store your IP address, and sets nothing on your device. For more detail, see the Privacy Policy.
No third-party tracking cookies
The site sets no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies. We do not run ad networks, retargeting pixels, or social-media trackers. If you click an outbound link to a broadcaster, streaming service, or VPN provider, that third party may set its own cookies once you arrive on their site, under their own cookie policy — something we neither control nor have visibility into.
Legal basis and why there is no consent banner
Cookies in Norway are governed by the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven) § 3-15, in force since 1 January 2025 and supervised by the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) and the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). The rule requires consent only when a site stores or reads information on your device. Because WC Matches neither sets cookies nor stores anything else on your device, the requirement is not triggered, and no banner is shown. We still disclose this here for transparency.
Managing cookies
You do not need to do anything for WC Matches, since we set no cookies. You can still delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; that affects other sites you visit, not this one.
Changes
If we ever start using cookies, we will update this page first. The “last updated” date shown at the foot of the page always reflects the current version.
